I’m Bob Kreider, Devereux’s President & CEO and I’m delighted that you’re visiting devereux.org to find out more about us and our mission. For more than 94 years, Devereux has been helping individuals facing complex challenges from emotional, behavioral, developmental, and educational problems.
Everyday I’m inspired and humbled by the efforts our staffs make and the results they produce. Devereux was founded almost a century ago by Helena Devereux, a young teacher in the Philadelphia Public School system. Her philosophy to first find and then build upon the strengths in each individual - no matter how difficult a challenge that may be - is very much alive today. In fact, it is a core tenet in our philosophy of care.
I hope this web log, (blog) gives you a glimpse of the vitality and the work of our remarkable organization.
